Anthropic, a leading AI firm, has successfully raised $13 billion in its Series F funding round, elevating its post-money valuation to an impressive $183 billion. The funding round was co-led by Iconiq, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from a diverse group of institutional investors, venture capitalists, and sovereign wealth funds. Notable investors include Altimeter, Baillie Gifford, BlackRock, Blackstone, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, Insight Partners, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and Qatar Investment Authority.

According to Anthropic’s CFO Krishna Rao, the funding will be strategically allocated to enhance enterprise adoption, deepen safety research, and support the company’s international expansion efforts. This substantial financial backing underscores investors’ strong confidence in Anthropic’s financial performance and its collaborative approach to sustaining unprecedented growth.

Anthropic has experienced remarkable growth, with its annual recurring revenue soaring from $1 billion to $5 billion over the past year, driven by increased API usage and enterprise adoption. The company now serves over 300,000 business customers, and its number of large accounts has grown nearly sevenfold.

The startup’s flagship product, Claude Code, continues to be a favorite among developers, generating over $500 million in run-rate revenue with a tenfold increase in usage over the last three months. Despite facing competition from industry rivals like OpenAI and Cursor, Anthropic’s CEO Dario Amodei remains focused on maintaining growth momentum.
